Drawn to the Hawaiian culture since childhood, Odette has called Hilo home since 2005. She studied hula for five years and attends classes in Hawai‘i's history, indigenous practices, and ‘ōlelo
(language).
Countless magical moments on the Big Island inspired Odette to share her observations and experiences through these poems and photographs.
